One of my favorite games to get hands-on with at E3, has to be Borderlands 2. The quirky western-style we are used to is still there along with all the hilarious and awesome characters from Pandora. First off, the game looks great visually. Gearbox stepped it up from the previous installment. Even on Xbox 360 it still looked great! I got to run around taking down flying robots and mechs with my co-op partner. We worked together to take down all the enemy’s and revived one another when needed.
Let’s not forget the guns! There are many new guns this time around. Including the ones we know and love. One that stood out was this cheap disposable gun where instead of reloading you simply throw the gun away and use a new one. In the mission we were helping a robot Clap Trap cut down all the statues that were erected in Handsome Jacks honor to piss him off.
Rest assured there is lots and lots of loot! I thoroughly enjoyed what I played and highly would recommend the game when it eventually releases September 18th. The new game offers an even bigger world and wider array of weapons and brand new playable characters. In a nutshell Borderlands 2 is bigger, badder, and more awesome. I can say from first-hand experience that fans of the previous game will not be disappointed.
