The Last Of Us: Gameplay trailer looks like magic [E3 2012]

Yet another awe-inspiring trailer crawls out of E3 2012. Naughty Dog’s game play trailer for its upcoming title The Last Of Us looks superb. The set pieces remind me of the New York city we saw in I Am Legend and graphically looks almost as good. As the trailer progresses we see no mention of the games infected but its nice to see a “zombie” game focus on antagonists other than flesh eating biological humans running a muck. Its nice to see some great titles beefing up the survival horror genre.

To be a bit nitpicky I have to say that there are tons and tons of jaggies. While the game visually looks striking in comparizon to its current generation titles the graphics feel a bit forced and overdone. Its to bad that the game is set to release exclusively on the PS3 and has no current hopes of making it to the PC.

The AI looks great, I hope its not the same scripted sort of trash that we are use to seeing in most games. I know its asking for a lot but it would be the least that they could do with the PS3 hardware. The weapons situation looks sparse and nothing is scarier in a post-apocalyptic world then running out of ammo for your boom-stick. Molotov cocktails on the house!
