Borderlands 2: ‘Mechromancer’ shipping ahead of schedule

Did you pre-order Borderlands 2 like a good gamer should have? If so, then you are in for a treat. The fifth playable character, the Mechromancer, will be shipping ahead of schedule. The character was set to ship free of charge to preorder customers 60 days after the full game release. In an interview with Joystiq, at Gamescom, Radny Varnell of Gearbox said, “We’re going to beat that estimate.”

Gearbox was wrapped up in July and sent out for certification. Since then the team has been focusing on the Mechromancer. We had a chance to play Borderlands 2 at E3 and it was impressive. I would personally love to play the Mechromancer on my second play through. Nothing like summoning robots back from the dead and making them “PEW PEW” down the competition!
