The Switch: From Android To IOS

Recently I came into possession of an iPhone 4S and wow, a lot has changed. I have always had android phones, which was surprising since I own lots of Apple products. Being a T-Mobile subscriber kept me on the Android boat, but since I picked up a Gevey SIM unlocker for my iPhone, I was able to transition into a 4S. Now that I have had this 4S for about 3 weeks I think that I have a good feeling of which I prefer. I understand that Android is more free and allows more options, but  everything is just so fluid on my iPhone. Navigating, this drastically different terrain, quickly became second nature. It was nothing like the learning curve that you find on Android.

I like how iOS is more compatible with all of my Apple software and hardware. Being an illustrator. and doing a vast majority of my work on Apple products, iOS streamlines my workflow much better. I can effectively transfer things like numbers, notes, documents, and much more using iCloud. My apps that are on iOS also sync easily with iTunes and other programs, as well as transferring photos and videos.

Other things I like about iOS are the app system, and “drawers”. I like the way it is handled more than the way Android handles it. Having the apps just install straight to the home screen reminds me to put them in the folder, and seeing them in the folders allows me to find them easier. There are numerous apps I had on Android that I forgot about because, they didn’t show up on my home screen first. Also, I love that the iPhone 4S is basically an iPod and manages well with my iTunes, I have been able to listen to my music a lot more.  On Android I just didn’t feel the music player was very well done.  So I think I made the right choice even though I am stuck with EDGE networks.  I will put up with it just for the smooth UI and compatibility with my other Apple devices.
