Valve is making a documentary about Dota 2 [Trailer]

Valve is making a gorgeous and moving Dota 2 documentary. During the process of making Dota 2 the development team managed to gather footage for a mini documentary they were planning to release with the release of Dota 2. Since diving into the project the two in charge of shooting the documentary are now working full time on the film and no longer on “Dota 2″.

The documentary focuses on the teams and players competing in the Dota 2 pro circuit. The final event will be The International, scheduled later this month. I love that the trailer touches on some of the biggest trials with pro gaming, the reception of being a pro gamer. No one outside of the industry really understands that it can be a real professions. I cannot want to see what story Valve has to tell.
